EVEN LESSER EDUCATED TO BE IMPARTED SKILLS AT SKILL DEVELOPMENT CENTERS IN STATE, MINISTER FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION-PAYS RICH TRIBUTES TO MARTYRS OF PATHANKOT INCIDENT BATHINDA JANUARY 08 (ADVOCATE H S NARULA) Punjab government is committed to bring forth people from all sections of society under which even the lesser educated people will be imparted skills at the skill development centers. The Minister for Technical Education and Industry Mr Madan Mohan Mittal said this while interacting with media persons today. Mr Mittal was in bathinda to preside over annual convocation ceremony of Baba Farid Engineering College at village Deon.
Talking to the media persons Mr Mittal said that these skill development centers will be run in government and private organizations whose main motive is to impart skills to youngsters and help them become independent. He said that the Chief Minister Punjab has been selected as the convener for national level skill development committee, which will ensure better facilities for Punjab. He added that agriculture and dairy farming too would be given special attention in skill development. Mr Mittal said that work on construction of Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University Bathinda was going on and very soon the campus would be ready.

Answering a media query on people taking admission on the basis of fake certificates, he said that the technical education department will not spare anyone taking admission or job on the basis of such certificates and strict action will be taken against those erring. Mr Mittal said that in the field of education, government and private universities were doing good work and providing higher education to the youngsters.

Mr Mittal paid tributes to the martyrs of Pathankot terrorist attack victims saying that they save many precious lives.

Prominent among others present with him included Mr Sunil Singla from BJP, vice-chancellor Maharaja Ranjit Singh Technical University Dr Mohan Singh Isher, registrar PTU Dr Buta Singh, chairman Baba Farid Group Mr Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal and others.
